About the skipper

Built by a boat owner, for boat owners.

I'm Mike Smillie, from Auckland. I served seven years in the Royal New Zealand Navy, sailed solo across the Pacific and spent two years skippering a charter vessel in San Diego. Today I look after Grand Amour, a 1974 Grand Banks 42. I built these apps because I wanted simple, reliable tools for my own boat.
